Richard P. Wikholm, M.D. FACS
Dr. Wikholm is the founder of Central Coast Otolaryngology and has been in private practice in Santa Maria since 1989. He has undergraduate and Master’s degrees in bioengineering from the University of California-San Diego. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Dr. Wikholm is a Diplomat of the American Board of Otolaryngology and is also board certified in Sleep Medicine. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been the Chief of Surgery of Marian Medical Center. Dr. Wikholm is on the clinical faculty at Touro University Medical School and Western COMP medical school. He has a number of publications and has presented his work at national meetings of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities.
Zachary P. VandeGriend, M.D.
Dr. Zach grew up in Oregon. After graduating Cum Laude at Willamette University where he was an all-conference pitcher, received his medical degree from Loma Linda University, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He then went on to complete residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan followed by additional fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. After completing training he joined Central Coast Otolaryngology in 2015 specializing in facial plastic surgery and advanced nasal and sinus surgery. He is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young kids as well as international travel.
Lane Price, PA-C
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree from California State University – Long Beach, Lane completed his Physician Assistant (PA) training at Western University of the Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He has over 20 years of experience as a certified PA in primary care, oncology, and ENT. Since joining Central Coast Otolaryngology in 2013, he has been exclusively treating ENT and sleep related problems. He has a special interest and additional post-graduate training in allergy and sleep disorders. As a past semi-professional trumpet player, Lane enjoys music as well as surfing and especially spending time with his wife of 30 years and 4 children.
Jennifer R. Perry, Au.D. CCC-A
Dr. Jennifer Perry graduated and received her bachelors of science with distinction in speech and hearing sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle. She then stayed and obtained her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Washington in 2012 followed by internships in private practice and the VA. She joined Central Coast Otolaryngology and Physician’s Hearing Service in 2013. Additionally she has her clinical certificate of competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Jennifer enjoys getting to know her patients and continually seek to help them optimize their hearing so they can get the most out of the activities they enjoy. Outside of the office Jennifer enjoys running on the beach, watching the sunset, and hiking.
Paul Tripoli, RRT, RCP, RPSGT
A Registered Respiratory Therapist since 1980 and licensed in California, Paul has worked in a variety of hospitals departments including neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, critical care, and emergency medicine. In 1996 he began working in homecare specializing in treatment of sleep apnea syndrome / sleep disordered breathing until became the Technical Director of the Sleep Disorders Center of Santa Maria in 2008. A Certified Sleep Educator and registered Polysomnographic technologist, Paul spends a great deal of time assisting sleep patients with a variety of therapies associated with sleep disorders, especially CPAP and other positive pressure devices. Additionally, he is dedicated to increasing awareness of the impact of sleep disordered breathing and parasomnias on the overall health. He is involved in directly educating community groups and physicians regarding diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of patients with sleep disorders.
