Audiology & Hearing Aid Services
- Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations - Specialized equipment is used to obtain accurate information about hearing loss. We provide evaluations of the entire auditory system from the outer ear into the middle ear, inner ear and along the along the auditory nerve into the brain. Audiologists are trained to also check for medically-related hearing problems and coordinate your care with one of our ENT physicians.
- Hearing Services and Counseling Visits - We are vitally concerned that every person, regardless of age, benefits from good hearing. Our audiologists provide individual counseling to help those with hearing loss function more effectively in social, educational and occupational environments. Family members are encouraged to participate in the counseling process.
- Custom-fit hearing aids - Hearing aid consultations will help you select the appropriate type of hearing aid technology based upon your hearing needs, lifestyle and budget. We offer follow-up care and hearing aid accessories and repair services for all patients, whether they purchased hearing aids through our office or from another provider.
- Ear and Hearing Protection - Prolonged exposure to loud noise causes permanent hearing loss, and patients with ear tubes need protection in the water. Custom earplugs and swim plugs are available to patients who need protection from excessive noise levels or water. Musician plugs, which provide excellent protection from loud sounds without distortion, are also available.
- Assistive Listening Devices - Various types of assistive listening equipment are available through our office. These devices are designed to help hearing-impaired people hear better in specific situations such as talking on the telephone or watching television. Hearing impaired patients can benefit from amplification and communication devices that make them aware of a smoke detector alarm, a ringing doorbell or telephone or even a baby crying.
